The German club announced in an official statement that it will not broadcast the upcoming World Cup in Qatar in any way.

“In the recent past, we have covered major football events around the world with our words and images. We focused on the players who represented their country and Hoffenheim. This year, we will not be covering the World Cup in Qatar,” stated in the team’s official statement.

The fourth one at the moment Bundesliga group explained this decision by focusing on “violation of human rights and discrimination against homosexuals in this authoritarian Gulf state”.

In summary, TSG will not broadcast any content in the contest and will focus on “other club sporting events, including women’s team matches as well as the U19 and U17 categories.”

A hard blow for supporters who would have liked to follow the adventures of Andrej Kramaric (Croatia), Sebastian Rudy (Germany) and the other internationals in November and December.
