Strong 5.2 magnitude earthquake was noted, on Saturday (03/09), off the coast Crete.
Specifically, according to its relevant revised solution Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens, the earthquake occurred at 07:13 am. and the epicenter was located 30 kilometers south southeast of Zakros.
Still, the one in question earthquake it is characterized as superficial since its focal depth was calculated to be only 4.7 kilometers.
The earthquake was felt in many areas of Eastern Crete, as well as in Heraklion, as reported by cretalive.gr. According to reports it was long in duration.
