Even though he was in the process of exchanging contracts, Aris decided to put Julio Velathketh’s case on hold with the intention of choosing a coach after the derby with PAOK!
It’s incredible what happens with his replacement Herman Burgos in the technical leadership of Aris. Initially there was an agreement (for a two-year contract) with Raul Caneda and in fact the Spanish technician was expected in Thessaloniki at the beginning of the week. This was canceled to allow discussions with Mr Julio Velathketh and with PAE Aris confirming that the two sides were yesterday (1/9) evening in the process of exchanging contracts having basically agreed on all the points of the upcoming cooperation.
Now the case of the 41-year-old Spaniard is put on “ice” as PAE Aris notes that two more cases of coaches have arisen which led it to the decision to stop (temporarily or not, it will be seen as a product of time) the discussions with Velathketh. And the final choice for Herman Burgos’ replacement will be made after the derby with PAOK. It is obvious that the whole operation suggests that the “yellows” are not sure about any of the cases of coaches with whom they (pre)agreed and show a willingness to consider those that have arisen in the course of the search.
