The examinations at the hotel are continuing since the morning after the tragic incident with the three-year-old girl who was found floating unconscious in a swimming pool in Paphos in Cyprus.

The examinations are continuing at the hotel, while witnesses have been called to the Offices of the Paphos Crime Investigation Department to take statements and to clarify the tragic incident, according to the Press Representative of the Paphos ADE and Head of the Paphos TAE Michalis Nikolaou, as reported the KYPE, stressing that it is expected the result of the autopsy that will be performed on Tuesday by the coroner Angeliki Papetta.

As Mr. Nikolaou mentioned, the family of the little girl from Nicosia had only come on Sunday for a few days vacation. In the afternoon all the family members were on the sunbeds by the pool. The little girl asked to swim in the small children’s pool but it is unknown how she ended up floating unconscious in the large pool.

According to Mr. Nikolaou the little girl was spotted floating in the large pool by another bather and a lifeguard. Despite the efforts made both on the spot and later at the Paphos Hospital by the doctors on duty, the little girl did not manage to revive.
