The case of the brutal beating of a Spanish citizen in Santorini was solved. The police authorities proceeded to arrest four Frenchmen, who are accused of robbery and causing grievous bodily harm. It is noted that the 33-year-old is hospitalized in a serious condition in the Intensive Care Unit of the “Evangelismos” hospital.

In an official announcement issued by EL.AS. reports that the four men (ages 16, 18, 19 and 20 years old) were arrested on Thursday night and a felony case was filed against them for causing grievous bodily harm and committing robbery as an accomplice.

The incident happened on Thursday morning in Fira, Thira. After arguing with the 33-year-old, the perpetrators punched him and took his personal belongings.

The 33-year-old was transported by EKAV ambulance to the General Hospital of Thira and then transferred to “Evangelismos”, where he is hospitalized in a critical condition.

Police officers who were informed about the incident managed to locate and identify the perpetrators as part of police searches.

A total of 460 euros and 3 mobile phones and a bank-credit card were found in their possession and confiscated. Those arrested will be taken to the Naxos District Court.
