The independent MP Konstantinos Floros, who is accused of violence against a political figure and, in particular, the MP of Hellenic Solution, Vassilis Grammenos, was released after his apology.

Two 24 hours after the serious incident in parliament, the issue remains in the foreground, with the descriptions of eyewitnesses framing the successive reactions of the protagonists.

The testimony of the policeman who rushed to separate the two deputies

The policeman who stepped in the middle to separate the two MPs describes (Live News – Mega) what he experienced and was called to face: “Coming out of the Parliament hall, the MP Vassilis Grammenos said to me, ‘Hold the independent of the Spartans high so as not to we have others.” I asked him which independent member of parliament he meant and before he could tell me, Mr. Floros came out of the Parliament and then they started arguing.”

Specifically, the following was said, according to the police officer:

“-FK: What is your problem with me? Tell me.

-GB: Do us a favor and get out of here.

-F.K: You’re cursing moms, get your hair together.

-GB: I’ll do what I like, leave me alone.”

As the policeman reported, he first saw in his field of vision Vassilis Grammenos and a little later Konstantinos Floros, who came out of the Plenary hall beside himself.

“The two MPs were trying to push each other but they couldn’t as I was between them. Then Floros put his right hand over me, grabbing him like a headlock at the height of the nose, knocking him down,” says the police officer.

“I caught him from the front. There was also the policeman, the guard of the Parliament, who had also put his hand in between. Mr. Grammenos was sticking to me with his body in front of me and I was saying to him what did you say? Say it here in front of the policeman. Why don’t you say what you said inside and tell it to the police officer in front?”, said K. Floros himself.

Konstantinos Floros has already been sentenced to removal from his parliamentary duties for 15 days

With his statements on Live News, Vassilis Grammenos refutes the claims of Constantinos Floros and maintains that he decided not to follow up, because he respected the space he was in, in contrast, as he says, with his colleague.

Vassilis Grammenos was hospitalized at the Air Force Hospital with a broken nose and injuries to his hand.

Constantinos Floros has already been sentenced to removal from his parliamentary duties for 15 days following a decision by the president of the Parliament. How when he returns he will find a way to comply with the restrictive condition that stipulates that he does not approach Vassilis Grammenos within 50 meters, is something we will have to wait and see.

It is noted that the incident took place at a time when the Plenary of the Parliament was debating the lifting of the immunity of the president of the Hellenic Solution, Kyriakos Velopoulos, following a lawsuit filed against him by the father of Konstantinos Floros, who accuses Mr. Velopoulos of was harassing via a hidden account on the X platform.
