Panathinaikos will put its hand in its pocket for the banner of Triphyllio organized in the home match against Lamia, which was mentioned in the Parliament

In the recent match against Lamia for the Stoiximan Super League playoffs, the stadium that hosts the organized friends of Panathinaikos was closed, with the DEAB taking the specific decision due to the behavior of the fans of the greens in the derby with AEK.

Even so, however, the administration of the shamrock was once again called to apologize, due to a banner that was hung at Gate 13, with the DEAB notifying on Monday (22/04) that it imposed a fine of 20,000 euros on the greens for the behavior in question.

The announcement in detail and the reasoning behind the decision:

With Decision No. 21/2024, it imposed an administrative fine of twenty thousand euros (€20,000) on PAE Panathinaikos due to the posting of a banner with the content “Lock the Parliament, not Door 13”, at the closed, due to punishment, door 13 of the Apostolos Nikolaidis stadium, during the Panathinaikos – Lamia match held on April 14, 2024 for the Super League 1 playoffs .

The above banner was judged to have a clear political content, at the same time offending the value code of the vast majority of citizens, which advocates the ideal of parliamentarism and democratic polity. Application of article 14 of Law 5085/2024.
