Large concentrations of African dust and mud showers are expected in the next two 24 hours, according to data from meteo.gr/ Athens National Observatory
The peak of the phenomenon is expected on Tuesday. In addition to the greatly increased concentrations of dust that will limit visibility, mud showers are expected to occur mainly in the north and west of the country.
The situation improves on Wednesday, as the turn of the winds to the west will result in the limitation of the dust in the Dodecanese and its progressive removal to the east.
The forecast maps of meteo.gr show:
- With red shades the concentration of dust in the atmosphere during the midday and evening hours of Tuesday 23/04.
- With yellow shades the areas where mud rains will occur during the same time intervals.
