The Archbishop of Athens and All Greece Ieronymos was asked to take a position on the incident with the slap to a ND MP, when he was asked about it by a journalist.
Archbishop Hieronymos noted that such actions are not correct and added: “The Church is love. She complains, she says her positions, she is firm in them, but we must not forget that love is the one that is above all, as well as kindness and tolerance”.
Archbishop Hieronymos: The Church loves
“These incidents are also due to everyone’s education and the influence of some people who perceive many things of the Church as revenge. The Church, however, does not take revenge. She loves, but she does not leave her positions,” said the Archbishop.
It is recalled that apart from ND MP Angeliki Delikari, who was slapped by the Niki candidate in Kavala, and Deputy Minister of Transport Christina Alexopoulou was excommunicated and cursed by a priest in Patras.
