He expressed his love for the church every time he spoke about his grandfather Anestis Vlachos, and now the actor’s grandson was ordained an Archimandrite.
Anestis Vlachos did not follow in the footsteps of his namesake late grandfather, but already the previous year he became a clergyman under the name Augustine and now, he was ordained an Archimandrite in New Philadelphia.
THE Iraklis Vlachos, son of the unforgettable actor and father of Archimandrite, in a telephone conversation he had on Monday morning (22.04.2024) on the “To Proinono” show of ANT1, he shared his thoughts on this development.
“It is a moment that cannot be described in words. For me personally and for the whole family. It is the most important moment after his birth and it is a parent’s happiness to see his child come true and his dream and be committed to what he has chosen,” he said.
Asked if he advises his brother, Heraklis Vlachos said that he did not give advice. “Even in the difficult times, believe that this is temporary and everything will be fine in the end,” he added and concluded by saying that since school, Father Augustinos had expressed his inclination to work with the church.
