With great protagonists Ioannidis and Bakaseta, Panathinaikos passed through Lamia like a siphon, took the three points, and will go on Wednesday (24/4) to the OPAP Arena for a double title.

A storming Panathinaikos with Fotis Ioannidis and Tasso Bakaseta going on a rampage passed Lamia winning 5-0 and will now go on Wednesday (24/4) to the OPAP Arena to play their part in winning this year’s championship.

The clover did not have any difficulties against the Fthiotida team with Ioannidis scoring two goals, having an assist and giving some magic actions while Tasos Bakasetas was also close to performing who also had two goals and two assists in the 63′ minutes that fought before leaving the field.

Verbic had opened the scoring for the shamrocks seconds after entering the pitch as he came on as a substitute for Bernard who left due to injury.

The only concern for Panathinaikos and Fatih Terim, who had the opportunity to rest some players, was the injury of Bernard, who left in the 23rd minute of the match to give his place to Verbic.

Panathinaikos makes two changes

Fatih Terim made two changes to the Panathinaikos lineup in relation to the home match against Lamia as Lodingin-Lemnios switched to the starting lineup instead of Dragovski and Sporar while the Turkish coach also made a change to the formation of the greens.

Under the goal was Lodingin with Kotsira playing on the right wing and Huancar on the left while Gedvai-Akaidin played in the center of the defense. In front of them were Arao-Cherin with Limnios starting on the right wing and Bernard on the left while Bakasetas played behind Ioannidis.

On the other hand, Vokolos also had a change in the initial formation of his team in relation to the match that took place on the Avenue.

Stormy clover

Panathinaikos was storming and, unlike the match at Leoforos, wanted from the beginning to be in the driver’s seat, to score and “clean up” the victory and the three points.

The first good moment for the greens came in the 5th minute when Ioannidis made the effort from the right, he took the parallel ball to Cerin who couldn’t place, the ball reached Bakaseta who made the shot with Koselev deflecting for a corner .

Lamia responded in the 9th minute with Tsilouli receiving the ball on the right, he took the shot with one shot but the ball went well over Lodingin’s goal.

Verbic changed and… goal

In the 22nd minute, Bernard, who had some discomfort, left the field as a precaution and gave his place to Verbic, who scored in his first contact with the ball. Ioannidis took the ball just below the center, passed it to Limnios, who made a diagonal shot with the ball rattling Koselef’s right post and the oncoming Verbic into an empty net to make it 0-1.

The trefoil threatened again in the 36th minute with Bakaseta passing to Ioannidis who left from the right, the Greek forward stepped into the area, made a diagonal shot which went wide.

Shortly before the end of the first 45 minutes, Panathinaikos found a second goal to “lock” the three points. Ioannidis passed Kornezos on the byline and turned to Bakaseta at the height of the penalty with the Greek midfielder placing diagonally and beating Koselev for the 0-2 trefoil.

Panathinaikos scored three goals in seven minutes

At the start of the second half, Lamia made two changes but Panathinaikos continued at the same pace and scored three goals in seven minutes to give dimensions of triumph to their victory. Initially, the trefoil threatened in the 51st minute with Verbic, who sent the shot just wide.

In the 54th minute, Bakasetas executed a corner from the left with Ioannidis catching the header at the first post and beating Koselev for 0-3 for the greens.

In 57′, Verbic made a very nice move from the left, he turned to Limnios who made the shot with Tzanetopoulos cutting the ball’s path to the net twice, it reached Bakaseta who with another shot made it 0-4 with his second personal goal.

Two minutes later Lamia threatened for the first time in substance when Slivka from the right turned to Tsilukis who made the spot kick from the height of the penalty area with Lodingin kicking the ball away.

Panathinaikos’ offensive crescendo ended in the 60′ when Bakasetas made a deep ball to Ioannidis, he put Tzanetopoulos on his back, passed him and entered the area, Cornezos took steps back and the Greek forward scored for 0-5 with his second goal.

Changes and rest ahead of AEK

With the score at 5-0 in favor of Panathinaikos, Fatih Terim made three combined changes in the 63rd minute to give his key players a break against AEK. The Turk removed Bakaseta, Akaidin and Huancar from the game, while eight minutes later Ioannidis also left with Sporar taking his place.

Despite the changes, the trefoil players fought to score another goal. In 79′ Limnios was the one who made the action from the right and the shot to be firmly blocked by Koselef. While Mancini’s shot in the 81st minute had the same outcome with Koselev blocking the ball.

Lamia, for its part, also tried to score the goal of… honor. Initially, in the 83rd minute, Tsiloulis found himself at the height of the penalty and took the shot with Lodingin clearing the ball away. While the same thing happened in the 88th minute with the shot attempted by Ruben Martinez and blocked by the goalkeeper of Panathinaikos.
