Police operations in five areas of Attica where increased incidents of juvenile delinquency are recorded were carried out in the afternoon and night hours on Friday and Saturday (November 10 and 11).

Specifically from the Juvenile Protection Sub-Directorate, the North-Eastern Attica Security Sub-Directorate and the South-Eastern Attica Security Sub-Directorate with the assistance of OPKE police officers. and DI.AS., operations were carried out in Agios Dimitrios, Maroussi, Heraklion, Voula and Vouliagmeni for the prevention of juvenile delinquency.

In shopping centers and ISAP

According to the Police, “after collecting, investigating and evaluating data regarding recorded repeated delinquent behaviors with minors involved in specific points, the excursions in question were planned and deployed in the above areas, concentrating forces in two parks, around two shopping centers and in surrounding area of ​​ISAP station”.

These actions were organized both to prevent the occurrence of similar phenomena, and to more fully map the movements of minors in the disputed areas.

The trips were completed with 12 vehicle checks, 143 person checks and 14 juvenile arrests in the departments of the area.

Similar actions will continue in the field of preventing and dealing with the phenomenon of youth crime.
