“Thriller” session of “Umbrella” – Withdrawal in tomorrow’s KE – Intervention is being prepared by the Ahtsioglou “bloc”

After a marathon meeting, which ended after midnight, the executives of “Umbrella” decided to leave SYRIZA during the meeting of the Central Committee.

According to information, the possibility of the announcements about the exit from the party being made today before the meeting of the leading governing body was also on the table, without, however, the majority supporting it.

The war that has broken out on social media between “neo-presidential” and “umbrella” foreshadows a Central Committee, which, apart from being historic, will move in very high tones. Many argue that outside the hotel where the meeting will take place, a large number of people will gather to await the developments.

SYRIZA is turning a page and yesterday’s official publication of the text of the 1,300 executives of “Umbrella”, announcing their departure, dynamized the atmosphere even more.

The left wing is now preparing the procedures for the withdrawal, drafting the political text to submit to the top governing body and measuring the forces it has. The meetings will continue until Saturday morning and the appointments of Euclid Tsakalotou, Nikos Fili, Nikos Voutsis, Panos Skourletis and Dimitris Vitsa to the leading governing body are awaited with interest.

How will they move from Monday to “Umbrella”? They are not talking about the creation of a party from the start, but about an initiative that in the first phase will be addressed to personalities, movements, institutions, etc. There will be a leadership group that will promote the required actions. It will be an open transitional scheme that will eventually form into a party in order to participate in the European elections. Until that time comes, however, a hot weekend is expected to intervene.

The Central Committee, as is well known, will not give an opinion on the deletions and this worries the members of the trend even more. They are talking about a “hostage regime” that the leadership side wants to set the four executives, since the next meeting of the K.E. will be held in December.

The majority side is expected to keep a hard line and Stefanos Kasselakis does not intend to back down on the issue of deletions. He has no reason to, since the split has been decided. And the presidential trend met yesterday and what its members are asking for is political condemnation of inappropriate behavior.

The exit door for the dissidents is shown by many executives with their positions in the mass media. “The way they have spoken to me offends me personally and many others. In other words, you cannot say that I am in a party which is entangled, it is entangled, the president came in as a planter. If I had these views, I wouldn’t feel that I could fit in this place”, said Panagiotis Rigas speaking to SKAI.

Yesterday, a new meeting of the executives belonging to Efi Ahtsioglou’s environment took place. This time with a more limited number of participants, around 130. According to information, the scenario is being considered for the specific “block” to submit its own text to the Central Committee on Saturday. He will not talk about leaving, he will condemn the four deletions and will refer to the dissolution crisis that is plaguing the party. At the meeting, strong concern was expressed about the course of SYRIZA, the responsibility of the leadership, the political climate and the discrediting of the space.
