The strong reaction of the president of Israel, Isaac Herzog, was caused by what Angelina Jolie supported about the Israeli attack on Gaza.
Angelina Jolie has come out in support of Gaza, saying Israel is violating International Law by “deliberately bombing children, women, families, deprived of food, medicine and humanitarian aid”.
He said that all major world leaders are complicit in the crimes in Gaza which he described as an open air prison.
In an interview, Herzog did not leave unanswered what the famous actress said. “It does not offer the Israeli people any opportunity to defend themselves. He never went to visit and see the events on the ground. With all due respect, the people in Gaza know there is a war, but there is no humanitarian crisis preventing them from surviving.”
The president of Israel said that the humanitarian aid to Gaza is great. “There is a great dramatic increase in humanitarian aid to Gaza, which Israel has strongly supported, in cooperation with the United States and the United Nations and many other nations. The people of Gaza can move so we can root out this regime of terror. This is what we know. Angelina Jolie does not offer the Israeli people any opportunity to defend themselves by saying what she says,” he said specifically.

Jolie posted on Instagram, saying that “while the world watches and with the active support of many governments, millions of Palestinian citizens – children, women, families – are being collectively punished and possessed, while being deprived of food, medicine and humanitarian aid in violation of International Right”.
