The shocking video posted by the Israeli shows hundreds of Gazans, some with raised hands and some holding white flags, moving en masse and on foot surrounded by Israeli troops through the Salah al-Din road from the north to south of the Strip.
The Arabic-speaking spokesman for the Israeli Armed Forces (IDF), Avihai Andrae, posted the short clip on X.
Andrae writes that the IDF is once again opening a humanitarian corridor for the evacuation of Palestinians and has issued another appeal to Gazans to evacuate the northern part of the Strip and head south.
Andrae announced that the Salah al-Din road would be open for Palestinians to evacuate to southern Gaza between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. today.
“For your safety, take this next opportunity to move south across the Gaza Strip,” he added, accusing Hamas of “continuing to undermine humanitarian efforts” and using civilians as “human shields.”
“If you care for yourself and your loved ones, head south as directed. Rest assured that the leaders of Hamas have already taken care of themselves,” he added.
The video was reposted Hussam Zomlot, head of the Palestinian diplomatic mission in the UK, reposted the video on his X account and wrote:
“Israeli tanks are in Gaza to force the mass expulsion of Palestinians from their homes. We have repeatedly warned that Israel is planning and implementing a second Nakba. And the world is still debating whether to call for a cease-fire on Gaza?”
