OpenAI today announced its new, more powerful AI-based text generation model GPT-4 Turbo, revealing a new option that will allow users to create custom versions of ChatGPT chatbot.

Known as GPTs, the tools will be adaptable using plain English for situations such as teaching a child math, creating a travel guide or designing a website.

ChatGPT, which broke records as one of the fastest growing apps in history, now has around 100 million weekly active users, OpenAI announced.

The Microsoft-backed AI company said it plans to launch a GPT Store in the coming weeks. The app store launch comes exactly one year after ChatGPT’s public debut, echoing Apple’s decision to launch the iOS App Store a year after the iPhone.

San Francisco-based Open AI introduced ChatGPT in November 2022, and since then public interest around the world has been steadily growing. The experimental online tool can – as if it were an expert – answer convincingly to various questions, write texts on everything scientific (suitable for publication even in scientific journals), write poems and songs, etc. His ability is due to the fact that he draws a wealth of information from the Internet, which he then processes and combines, imitating the style of a doctor, a journalist, a student, a rock star, etc.
