The 40-year-old accused of shooting and injuring a 29-year-old man, in Dendropotamos, Thessaloniki, was referred to the 7th ordinary investigator of Thessaloniki to apologize, after a fight between them for a personal reason. Specifically, the attacker suspected that he was having an affair with his estranged wife and shot him in the thigh.
The public prosecutor filed criminal charges against the 40-year-old for attempted murder, violation of the drug law (in the form of possession and disposal) and for illegal possession and use of weapons, while the 29-year-old was taken to the AHEPA hospital for first aid where he remains to be hospitalized out of danger, according to information from Grtimes.gr.
He called in a technician to “unlock” his estranged wife’s sexually explicit devices
According to the indictment, the incident took place shortly after midnight on Monday at the perpetrator’s home in the Dendropotamos area, when he called the 29-year-old as a computer technician in order to recover files on a PC and a mobile phone device. A friend of the perpetrator was the one who recommended the young man for the job, so that as an expert in computer systems he could provide him with services.
The devices that the perpetrator wanted to “unlock” and recover their files, related to erotic photos and videos of his estranged wife with third parties that had been posted on pornographic websites. As the defendant claimed, his estranged wife had an affair with the victim who instead of recovering deleted the electronic files.
The 29-year-old deleted the files and beat him
Once the 40-year-old noticed the deletion, he began hitting him repeatedly on the head and body with a wooden pole, before shooting him once in the thigh. The 29-year-old was taken to the AHEPA hospital for first aid and is hospitalized out of danger.
In the 40-year-old’s house, four vials of methadone, 11 drug pills, a cap, a pistol magazine, etc. were found. The police together with the first arrested two girls, aged 17 and 18 years, in their possession were found narcotics and a pistol. Criminal proceedings were brought against them for violations of the relevant laws and they were released after a regular trial was determined.
He was given a deadline to prepare his apology
The accused was referred to apologize to the 7th regular investigator from where he requested and received a deadline to prepare his defense.
