The princess of pop-punk, Avril Lavigne got her own star in “Avenue of Glory” in Hollywood in a brilliant ceremony held to celebrate the 20th anniversary of her first album titled “Let Go”.
As he told Variety had visited the famous Boulevard on her first trip to Los Angeles at the age of 16.
The Canadian singer remembered that visit and during her speech, she emphasized:
“I remember seeing these legendary names and never imagined mine would be here too.. It’s so crazy!! This is probably one of the best days of my life.”
After thanking her Mod Sun fiance, producer John Feldmann, and Machine Gun collaborator Kelly, among others, Lavigne closed out her speech by saying:
“I hope that the next 16-year-old who visits Hollywood from a small town full of hopes and dreams will see this star and think, ‘Oh my God, my name could be there one day.’ Because he can”he said. “What an amazing 20 years and I look forward to the next 20! Let’s go!”.
