Tasos Sidiropoulos is not in UEFA’s selection for EURO 2024.
Without the top Greek referee EURO. O Sidiropoulos was not selected by UEFA for the tournament to be held in Germany in the summer.
UEFA announced the names of the referees who will be in Germany’s stadiums this summer for EURO 2024. The name of Tasos Sidiropoulos is missing from the list of referees, VARs, and 4th referees.
Unfortunately, the leading Greek referee, who was the only candidate from our country, was not selected, a decision that may have been influenced by his last refereeing in Molde – Ajax!
Sidiropoulos, who is now 45 and as everything seems to be, will not have another chance to represent our country as a referee, in a major National Teams event.
Let’s remember that the only Greek referee who has whistled in a EURO and also in a World Cup was Kyros Vasaras.
The referees who will “whistle” at the Euro: Oliver, Taylor, Letesier, Turpin, Zibert, Zwager, Guinda, Orsato, Makeli, Marciniak, Soares Diaz, Kovacs, Kruzliak, Vincic, Gilles Mantano, Nyberg, Scherer, Meller and Tejo.
