On Realfm 97.8 and Nikos Hatzinikolaou’s show with Antonis Dellatola, the SYRIZA MEP candidate, Nikos Pappas, spoke.
“What stability and what growth? The world is suffering” said Nikos Pappas and added:
“Nice words to hear, but the world is suffering. You’ve seen how high inflation has gotten, households are barely surviving. The world has become desolate. The citizens they need to believe in persons who will bring change. The outdated political profile people who come out and rattle off a bunch of stories and then just disappear and sit in a chair, tired. I want to inspire some people and I’m willing to get out there and deliver.”
The MEP candidate with SYRIZA also said that “I can listen to the concerns and problems of young people and this is the goal and the challenge that I have before me to motivate them to go to the polls and become a little more politically active”.
THE Nikos Pappas he pointed out that “my contact with SYRIZA began when Alexis Tsipras proposed to me to stand as a candidate for mayor of Athens. I also started to join the party, the truth is that I quite identified with her presence of Stefanos Kasselakis which I feel is a man who is willing to give. It has more to do with the regime we live in and it is imperative to change and less with SYRIZA and “why SYRIZA”.
Mr. Pappas added that “key decisions are made in the European Parliament for the lives of all of us. And I understand that there can be that bias with the featured faces. I do not know what it means celebrities or showbiz. I am a person with my path in sports, I have my positions and my actions that pushed me to be more active with politics. The first issues I would like to highlight are sport, human rights and social solidarity and I’d like to be active in those tracks.”
When asked what the goal is for SYRIZA, Mr. Pappas replied that “a percentage close to national elections which preceded it will be a good start as we are talking about new data in the party, which we believe is now starting”.
He finally stated that “the presence of Alexis Tsipras at the last event it is a signal that there is a conspiracy. SYRIZA must be a family, because that’s the only way it can move forward.”
