These are the movies in theaters on Thursday, September 1st.

THE September does footwork at cinema with abundant new movies for all tastes. A captivating mystery story based on the best-selling novel of the same name, the film Where the Crayfish Singtells the story of Kaia, a girl abandoned by humans and raised to adulthood in the dangerous swamps of North Carolina.

For years, rumors of the “Swamp Chick” haunted Barclay Cove, isolating the sensitive and intelligent Kaia from her community. Dr. Indeed Binny (Tilda Swinton) is an academic contented with her life, a creature bent on logic. While in Istanbul for a conference, he meets a Genie (Idris Elba) who offers her three wishes in exchange for his freedom. But his proposal runs into two obstacles.

First, she doubts it’s real, and second, being an academic in the field of myth and history, she knows full well that all wish-fulfillment stories don’t end well.

The Genie defends his position by telling fantastic stories from his past. Eventually, he seduces her and she makes a wish that surprises them both.

Rahim is in prison because of a debt he has been unable to repay. During a two-day vacation, he tries to convince his creditor to withdraw his complaint for a portion of the amount. But things don’t always go as we plan.
