Cillian Murphy ready for Peaky Blinders movie – When does filming start?
A Peaky Blinders movie starring multi-award-winning Cillian Murphy is in the works according to British director, producer and screenwriter Steven Knight.
In an interview given by Steven Knight to NME he stated that the production of the film adaptation of “Peaky Blinders” starring Cillian Murphy as Thomas Shelby, is in the works and filming will begin in the fall.
“It will be this September. We are now working on the final details and will continue until the last day before we start shooting. We have arranged everything, we have all the commitments we need, we are ready to go,” said the director.
“I think the film will be the next step and it’s great that the ‘Peaky Blinders’ fans will be able to come together in one place and watch it. The budget will be bigger and since we know this chapter is ending, we will try to do our best. Killian [Μέρφι] he is really ready. So I can’t wait for the shooting to start,” he said.
He also revealed that the famous Irish actor after “every award” until the Oscar race sent him a message writing how much he is “looking forward” to re-enacting the role he became identified with.
“Isn’t that amazing? I’m so happy for him because he deserves it. After every award he won, he would text and say: “I’m really looking forward to doing Peaky.” He confirmed that none of this is going to change what we do next,” he clarified.
