The Challengers of Luca Guantanino was the official opening screening of the last Venice Film Festival.

Strikes intervened, the premiere was canceled, the film was postponed, to name a few, it is finally in theaters. Eroticism overflows from the screen, without ever being clearly demonstrated, and a filmography full of calligraphy – but also some scribbles – gets one more. Excellent performances by the leading trio of Zendaya, Josh O’Connor and Mike Feist.

The week’s other major release, which, based on ticket sales, is expected to break the box office is Don’t Open The Doortheir debut feature Unboxholics. It is a psychological horror film that bets on the atmosphere and manages to make you wild, although it moves on (too) familiar cinematic paths.

Speaking of spirit, Lech Majewski’s Mill and the Cross returns as a reissue just in time to immerse us in Bruegel the Elder’s depiction of the Divine Drama.

From there on his post-apocalyptic images Breathe they will remind something of yesterday’s image of Attica and that is why they are topical, but the film’s virtues probably run out somewhere here. The Alma Viva it’s yet another film where a teenage girl has to come to terms with loss – the fourth in a month. The presence of the metaphysical or, more correctly, the spiritual element differentiates it, at the same time it is probably the least organized.

Speaking of spirit, the Mill and the Cross of Lech Mayevsky comes back as a reissue just in time to immerse us in the portrayal of the Divine Drama by Bruegel – the Elder, to be clear – through the “March to Calvary”.

Finally, our little friends can admire her superheroic exploits Super Maggie and their adult companions to understand what filmic kryptonite means.
