… And he is not one of the “tough boys” of cinema
We have the impression that most of the wood in Greek cinema has been thrown by its “tough boys”, Fountas or Kourkoulos. We have admired them in many different fights and they had the role of the bully anyway. Despite this, actors have also thrown fire… beyond suspicion, such as Alexandrakis who, in a tania, had taken his… nephew Stefanos Linaios for good, defending the honor of Alikis Vougiouklakis.
But in reality the one who usually threw the most fouls was Lambros Konstandaras. Indeed, it is difficult to remember a film of his that does not lavishly hand out cufflinks to men and women. Alekos Tzanetakos was one of Lambros’s permanent tax collectors, while Kostas Voutsas, Rena Vlahopoulou, Duzos, Sakellario’s wife, Niki Linardos, and countless others have tried his heavy hand from time to time. The only one who spared her was Athinodoros Proussalis, who politely pointed out to him that he should not throw a “bill” at him because the doctor forbids it after a recent brain concussion.
