A strange teaser was released by Marvel Studios ahead of the film’s premiere The Marvelswhich has caused panic in the fan ranks of the universe for what it seems to be teasing.
On social media and especially on X (formerly Twitter), theories have erupted like wildfire because within the new teaser appears the phrase “What Comes Next” meaning “what’s next” in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Except the letters in the caption slowly fade out in such a way that they leave the “X” from the word “next” last. This is interpreted by many as a wink from Marvel that there will be some X-Men appearance or tease within the Captain Marvel sequel.
The scenario does not seem far-fetched at all because the Ms. Marvel her Iman Vellani is considered a “mutant” in the MCU, as revealed in her Disney Plus series of the same name. In fact, this scene of the apocalypse was dressed with the melody from the classic theme of the X-Men animated series.
