Chekos in Patras for the 8th mural of ArtWalk 7!

The 7th International Street Art Festival of Patras | ArtWalk 7, after the necessary August break for our team to recover its strength, returns with the 8th mural of this year’s event by Chekos!

Chekos hails from Lecce, Italy and has been creating art in the urban landscape for about 20 years. Since then, his technique has evolved impressively and he deals with graphic design, murals, freestyling and street art.

He experiments mainly with the stencil technique but also with collages, drawing and video installations. But what he really enjoys is painting in open spaces, depicting on the walls of buildings giant images of anonymous or famous people homogenized by a particular visual style.

He founded 167/Bstreet, an urban art workshop, based in Southern Italy and Lecce, while participating in various social and artistic initiatives in Italy and abroad and is the main initiator and founder of Street Art South Italy, a free movement of street artists from Southern Italy and other parts of the world.

Chekos murals can be seen on the streets of Italy, Poland, Germany, France, Luxembourg, Spain, China, Indonesia, North Macedonia, Albania and other countries. He has contributed to many festivals, collective exhibitions and artistic projects.

So Chekos travels to Patras from Italy to create in the urban fabric of the city an impressive mural in the Dim. Gounari 229. The natives and not only have the opportunity to watch live the creation of the fifty-fifth ArtWalk mural from Monday, September 05!

ArtWalk 7 is co-organized by the Region of Western Greece, with the warm help of golden sponsors Chrysanthopoulos S.A. (native company of lifting machines) and VECHRO (Greek paint industry) and the major sponsors Coffeebrands (native coffee chain) and OLYMPIA ODOS.
