Only a few days remain until the start of the Acropolis Rally with M-Sport Ford WRT successfully completing the preparation and testing of the hybrid Ford Puma Rally1 in Greece.

M-Sport Ford WRT has been intensively prepared for the Acropolis Rally, one of the legendary, but at the same time toughest, races of the World Rally Championship, which will be the 10th round of the year on September 8-11.

For this reason, the company with the most victories (13) on Greek soil (1977, 1979, 1980, 1981, 1993, 1997, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2006, 2007, 2009), conducted an extensive series of tests led by Sebastien Loeb.

Based on the WRC racing regulations, each driver is entitled to one day of testing before each race, so since M-Sport Ford WRT will enter five Puma Rally1 hybrids, the corresponding procedure in view of the Greek match lasted five days.

He was the first to receive the baton nine-time World Champion and three-time Acropolis winner (2005, 2008, 2012), Sebastien Loebwho will again have Isabelle Galmiche as his co-driver, while Craig Breen, Gus Greensmith, Pierre-Louis Loubet and Iordanis Serderidis followed.

Sebastien Loeb focused on finding the ideal settings for the tough and demanding dirt track of the Acropolis Rally, where the many stones lurkwhile the increased temperatures make the effort of the crews even more difficult.

Both the multiple WRC winner and the rest of the team’s drivers were pleased with the tests with the hybrid Ford Puma Rally1, so they are optimistic about the development of Rally Acropolis for their team.

The Acropolis Rally will begin spectacularly on the evening of Thursday, September 8, with a super special route at OAKA. Over the next three days, the crews will compete on special routes of Corinth and Central Greeceamong which are some of the most famous of their kind, not only of the Acropolis Rally but also of the whole WRC.

For example, we mention the routes “Loutraki” and “Bauxites” which will be held on Friday, September 9, “Tarzan” scheduled for Saturday, September 10 and “Eleftherochori”, which will also be the final Power Stage of the Acropolis Rally, on Sunday, September 11.
