Touloupaki: Filed an exemption petition against the Deputy Prosecutor of the Supreme Court Aristeas Theodosis

Mrs. Touloupaki claims in her application that “there are very serious suspicions of a lack of objectivity and impartiality against Mrs. Theodosis”

By Ioanna Mandrou

Before sitting on the bench of the Special Court with co-accused former minister Dimitris Papagelopoulos, the prosecutor Eleni Touloupakisubmitted an exemption request to the Supreme Court.

The application concerns the Deputy Prosecutor of the Supreme Court Aristea Theodosis, who handles the case file for the disciplinary responsibilities of Eleni Touloupaki. The former Corruption Prosecutor argues that “there are serious suspicions of a lack of objectivity and impartiality in the person of Mrs. Theodosis”.

To this end, Eleni Toulupaki attaches a series of arguments to substantiate her application, which will be examined by the competent boards of the Supreme Court.

The lawyers of the former head of the Corruption Prosecution who will be tried by the Special Court for abuse of power, Yannis Mantzouranis, Vassilis Cheirdaris and Vangelis Georgakopoulos, stated, among others:

“”The application for exemption against Mrs. Theodosis is the last means of defense against her arbitrariness and illegalities at the expense of Eleni Touloupaki. Among other things, she forgets and fails to include in the case file the unanimous exculpatory will of the Judicial Council of the Special Court while at the same time demanding explanations for the same facts for which they have been irrevocably judged”.

Eleni Touloupaki, by decision of the Judicial Council of the Special Court, has been acquitted of the charges for her manipulations in the incrimination of the ten politicians and will be tried by the Special Court only for not sending the file to the Parliament in relation to the former ministers of health Pan. Kouroumpli and Andrea Xantho.

However, she is under disciplinary control and in this context she also submitted her request yesterday.
