We are coming to the end of the week and there is, at least until now, no further strengthening of the Olympiakos roster, as the coach of the “red and whites”, Sakis Theodosiadis, had announced after the end of the friendly match with Heraklis Larisas.
It is a fact, however, that the moves continue from the management side, but they have not been successful, with the people of Olympiakos waiting for answers from players with whom they came into contact and discussed the matter of entering into a partnership.
The matter of the Balkan striker did not progress, as the financial demands of the footballer were high and could not be satisfied by the management of Amateur.
We should emphasize that the teams of the 3rd National Team have the possibility to acquire up to four foreign players. At this moment in Olympiakos there will be no foreign footballer on the roster, unlike last year, where there were too many players coming from the foreign football market.
The central defender, with whom the managers of Erasitechnis were in discussions in the last few days, was Dimitris Stamos. The experienced stopper last year was part of the team, which competed in the championship of Super League 2. The transfer, however, did not go ahead, as Stamos agreed to continue his career at OF Ierapetra.
Olympiacos wants to include an extreme striker in its team, who can also play behind the forward. The soccer player in question has in his hands the proposal of the “red and whites” and has committed to respond at the beginning of September.
