The project of “rehabilitation of the privately owned building of OAK SA in Heraklion, 16 Agios Titou Street” was included in the NSRF

According to the decision of the special secretary for ERDF and TC Program Management of the Ministry of Development and Investments Giorgos Zervos, published in Diaygeia, the eligible amount of public expenditure, which is proposed for registration in the PDE, amounts to 1,481,800 euros.

Specifically, the project was included in the operational program “Transport Infrastructures, Environment and Sustainable Development 2014-2020” and in the Priority Axis “Conservation and Protection of the Environment – Promotion of the efficient use of Resources (TS)”.

As stated in the decision, the project concerns the restoration and static reinforcement of a building owned by the Development Organization of Crete (OAK SA) located in the heart of the historic city of Heraklion, with an underlying monument (designated monument – Venetian tank), which will house the services of the organization based in Heraklion.

It is also noted that the monument is of great interest both from an architectural and historical point of view and is intended to be visited by the public.

The start date of the transaction is 01/09/2022 and the end date is 31/12/2023.
