The young doctor from Anogeia – who, from 1958 when he was first elected as a Member of Parliament of Rethymnon on the ERE ballot and until 2007 when he retired – had completed 14 terms in the Greek Parliament, stamped his presence in public life and politics, he said among others in his speech, former Prime Minister Kostas Karamanlis.
Everyone was there last night in Anogeia. Relatives, friends, institutional bodies, local authorities and above all people whom he loved and who loved him.
The work he left behind is important and indelible, while his interventions were beneficial for the benefit of his country, the former prime minister, who in February 2006, appointed him as his special advisor, emphasized, among other things.
Eleni’s wife Eleni and his 3 daughters, Christina and Danae, were particularly moved in the crowded “Nikos Xylouris” theater, with Olga following in her father’s footsteps in politics.
The musical epilogue of the event was “written” by two great personalities. The music composer and husband of Olga Kefalogianni, Minos Matsas and the performer, Vasilis Skoulas.
