The proposal of the Municipality of Hersonissos for the supply of electric vehicles and charging stations was approved
The proposal of the Municipality of Hersonissos for the development of Electric Mobility through the supply of electric vehicles and charging stations was included in the “Antonis Tritsis” program of the Ministry of the Interior.
The interventions, with a budget of 1,137,000 euros, include the supply of small and large electric vehicles to serve the needs of the Municipality of Hersonissos, specifically for the movement of citizens and employees of the Municipality, for the service of the disabled and the collection of municipal waste.
“We are implementing step-by-step our planning to transform the Municipality of Hersonissos into a modern, “green” and citizen-friendly city, offering alternative and sustainable means of transportation”, said the Mayor of Hersonissos Yiannis Segos and added: We managed to secure additional credits from the “Antonis Tritsis” program for the launch of interventions with the main purpose of the transition of the Municipality of Hersonissos to a low emission mobility regime.
We use financial “tools” to strengthen sustainable urban mobility services with the aim of better serving the citizens on the one hand and limiting the cost of moving, repairing and maintaining municipal vehicles on the other.”
The actions financed include the supply of an electric bus, with a capacity of 42 seats and disabled seats, which will strengthen municipal transport.
Also planned is the supply of an electric garbage truck, five small electric vehicles to serve the needs of the Municipality of Hersonissos as well as charging stations in Hersonissos, Malia, Gouves and Episkopi.
