With 30 Days of Music, it continues in September 1st Festival of the Region of Attica at the “Katina Paxinou” theater in Attiko Alsos, organized by the initiative of the Regional Governor of Attica Giorgos Patoulis and in close cooperation with the Deputy Regional Governor for Culture, Haris Roma. From Thursday September 1st until October 2nd, as part of the 2nd part of the Festival, the theater space will this time be filled with the sounds of well-known artists in a multi-thematic program of musical performances.

SEPTEMBER/ OCTOBER – MUSIC MONTH

Thursday, 1the September: Music and dance performance with title “Asia Minor – Hellenic place. 100 Years of Refugee Life”. A tribute to the 100 years since the Destruction of Asia Minor, Eastern Thrace and the Uprooting of Eastern Hellenism by the Church Foundation of Byzantine and Traditional Music of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens, the “KANON” Orchestra of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens, under the direction of the conductor Giorgos Demelis. Performed by Sofia Manou and Stavros Haliabalias. Narration: Anna Liami. The dance department of the Center for Ecclesiastical Ministry of Oinofyta and the Dance Team of the Academy of Greek Traditional Dances “Lygistes” participate.

Saturday, September 3: Music concert with Mario Frangoulis and Deborah Mayers.

Monday, September 5: Music concert with Mattheos and Konstantinos Tsachouridis. A musical meeting of the traditional song of the Greeks of Pontus and the polyphonic song of Epirus.

Tuesday, September 6: Music concert entitled “Vara Daguerre». A music

performance with the most beautiful classical folk songs of great creators and references to tradition and rebetiko. Performed by Babis Velissarios, Dimitris Reppas and (friendly participation) Stella Karyda.

Wednesday, September 7: Musical theater performance titled “Either me or the other” with Lena Alkaiou and Sofia Vossou.

Friday, September 9: Music concert with Marina Satti.

Saturday, September 10: Music concert titled “Time travel” with Teresa and Giorgos Katsaros. Joining them is the band Latina Loca.

Sunday, September 11: Music concert titled “Archontissa and Alitis-Ode to the composers and lyricists who clothed the films of Greek cinema with its sounds”with Tina Trakou and conductor Nikos Kritikos.

Monday, September 12: Music concert – Tribute to the great Grigoris Bithikotsis, the “Interpreter of Romiosyny” whose 100th anniversary is being celebrated this year. Performed by Grigoris Bithikotsis. Anna Bithikotsis is the narrator.

Tuesday, September 13: Music concert titled “Where the stone turned black, menexes bloomed”, with Gerasimos Andreato, Maki Psaradellis, Stavroula Esambalidis and Eleni Karakasis.

Wednesday, September 14: Music concert with Eleftheria Arvanitaki and Giorgos Perris.

Thursday, September 15: Music concert –Tribute to Mikis Theodorakis with the Mikis Theodorakis Orchestra. Performed by Vassilis Lekkas, Angelos Theodorakis and Rita Antonopoulou.

Friday, September 16: Music concert with Yannis Vardis, Giorgos Lianos and Maria Karlakis.

Saturday, September 17: Music concert with Akis Deiximos and Kostas Doxas.

Sunday, 18 September: Music concert titled “When Mimis casts a spell…”. A tribute to the great Mimi Plessa.

Monday, September 19: Music concert with Zoe Teganouria.

Tuesday, September 20: Music concert with Pantelis Thalassinos, Gerasimos Andreatos, Violeta Ikaris, Iulia Karapatakis and others.

Thursday, September 22: Music concert titled “Time travel”, a retrospective of Greek cinema and the rebetiko within it. Performed by Marialena Rozakis and Aris Plaskovitis.

Saturday, September 24: Music concert titled “With Brushes and Colors only”, with the soprano Gina Foteinopoulou and the actor-performer Panagiotis Petrakis. Artistic Curation: Fokas Evangelinos.

Monday, September 26: Music concert with Stavros Salabasopoulos and Artemisa Matafia.

Thursday, September 29: Music concert with the youth band Andronikos and the Band and then with them Peppers Beatles Tribute Band. An evening full of rock memories but also artistic singing.

Friday, September 30: Music concert with Nikos Portokaloglou and the Rena Morphy.

Saturday, 1the October: Music concert titled “Words of Love”, with soloist tenor Mara Thrasyvoulidou and tenor Antonis Koronaios, under the artistic direction of maestro Giorgos Niarchos. A melodic journey with wonderful sounds from the Greek operetta and favorite songs of Attik, Michalis Souyoul and Costas Giannidis. The event is dedicated to the International Day of Older Persons.

Sunday, October 2: Music concert titled Folkie Rocky. From rock to tradition”, with the band Karmica and Giorgos Panteris. Guest Yannis Zouganelis.
