THE woman who gave birth to the baby at hospital Lamias suffered from coronavirus, resulting in her being isolated in intensive care for three days. The newborn he was transferred, as a precaution, to the Larissa hospital as there was no information about the parents of the infant and amidst all this the mother did not have an identity card.
Speaking on Star TV, the mother said: “I haven’t held my baby for so many days. He is my first child and I don’t have him by my side at all. I see his little things, his pacifier, his clothes, his crib, and I don’t have it next to me.”
On the other hand, father said that from the hospital of Larissa refuse to give them the child for bureaucratic reasons, since his partner does not have the necessary identification documents.
It is noted that the hospital Larisa asked at August 24 by the First Instance Prosecutor’s Office to be done in collaboration with the Police identification of the mother, in order to hand over the child to her.
“It is a very delicate issue, we cannot hand over a child to an unidentified person. The woman has no identity, no nothing.” says the legal advisor on behalf of Larissa University Hospital, Kostas Efthymiou, while for the father he added that “someone has appeared, who is alleged to be the father, but who has no evidence to identify that he is indeed the father of the child in question.”
