Yiannis Kallianos and his family said the last “goodbye” to his father yesterday. The funeral of Dimitris Kallianos took place in his hometown of Argolis in a close family circle.
At the same time, however, the complaints of the MP’s mother have caused a sensation the professor who operated on him accepted a sum of money of 500 euros.

Commenting on the Kallianos case, government officials stated that they sympathize with his mourning, expressing their undivided support to Yiannis Kallianos for the loss of his father.

He revealed that he sent a message to the doctor and asked him to return the money to his mother, after the death of his father, with the Professor of Vascular Surgery replying to him: “shame on you!”.
Earlier on Friday, speaking to Alpha and T-live the mother of Yiannis Kallianos she emphasized about the treating doctor, Professor of Vascular Surgery, that “he took the money envelope to improve my husband’s life and finally killed him”.
“We lost ten days when she could now live. We came here for the good hands. I have never seen such arrogance, such a mess in the mother of scientists,” she added.
The treating doctor denies: “Outrageous lie”

He is waiting – desperately – for the Sworn Administrative Examination of the Hospital, during which the problems will be scientifically evaluated of the deceased’s health as well as the medical procedures, which took place, to the minute, throughout his hospitalization.
However, today’s late-extreme-slanderous attack by the Kallianos family against a University Professor, with a long-lasting international scientific imprint, which damages his moral standing and attempts his social extermination, compels our principal to respond:
He NEVER accepted an offer of 500 euros from the deceased’s wife. It is an outrageous lie to fabricate, that he allegedly received a gift from the mother of a colleague of the doctor and member of parliament. In addition to the untruth, a parliamentarian must prevent such offers from being made to public officials. Our principal will immediately appeal to the Court, because it is the only institutional way to prevent the heinous attempt to assassinate his character.
