Thessaloniki: License plates and traffic licenses are being returned – Ahead of Easter

The Municipality of Thessaloniki and the competent Deputy Mayor of Municipal Police, Municipal Communities and Neighborhoods announce the return from Maundy Tuesday, April 30, 2024 until Maundy Thursday, May 2, 2024 of driving licences, number plates and traffic permits for cars, motorcycles and mopeds, which have been removed by the Municipal Police Directorate, in order to facilitate the public’s movements, in view of the Easter 2024 holidays.

The following are excluded from this decision:

1. Violations of article L.2696/1999 par. 2 paragraphs p, q, i, i.e. the violations that concern parking that obstructs an inclined plane (ramp) for the disabled and a blind driver as well as parking in exclusive or general parking spaces persons with disabilities (plates P-71 and P-72).

2. The execution of decisions that have been issued by judicial authorities, as these decisions do not fall under the current data return procedure.

For the return of traffic data and driving licenses, the administrative fine payment procedure will be followed.
