We miss him every day, unfortunately. His sister raised him with us because she was seven years older. His death cost her dearly. It’s another reason why she doesn’t have children. She hasn’t gotten over it, she’s never cried for her brother. For us it is a life purpose, we will never stop. And we also intend to go to the European court. Because sometime we have to find our right. Someday our child must also be vindicated.”
His father, Anastasios Sartzis, emphasized: “There are seven people who I believe know what has happened and know who has done it. The seven people include the murderer or murderers.”

Mr. Liourdis spoke of serious omissions that ultimately led the case to the file of unknown perpetrators. “Military justice has so far done its duty perfectly. It is the Armed Forces, specifically their officers, who, for reasons we really cannot understand, insist on the version of suicide, questioning justice itself.”
“The army hides the truth”
Nine years after “murder” of her son, the mother of Alexandros Sartzis has not stopped searching for the truth in order to vindicate the memory of her child.
