Today, Friday April 26, 2024, I met with the MEP of the Group of the Greens / European Free Alliance and Secretary of the KOSMOS party Mr. Petros Kokkalis, as well as his delegation, at the Tripoli City Hall.
The discussion with the President and the members was particularly informative regarding the work of the Greens in the European Parliament and the necessity of representing the Green Area in Greece.
From the side of the Municipality of Tripoli, various issues were raised such as prison infrastructure, the need for annual funding of rural road construction, the demographic problem, the management of the homeless which is commendable with the municipal shelter, the development and revitalization of our country with investments and jobs from the three pharmaceutical companies at the Tripoli Health and Safety Authority, energy issues and finally concerns about the risk of fires and flooding.
I wished good success to Mr. Kokkalis, anticipating good cooperation and communication between the local government and representatives of the European Parliament.
