The inclusion of the energy upgrade of buildings of the University of Western Macedonia in Kozani, Grevena and Kastoria, in the program “Just Development Transition 2021-2027» and in priority “Energy Transition-Climate Neutrality”, announced the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance, Mr. Nikos Papathanasis.

The co-financed public expenditure of the project amounts to 3,266,780 euros, and the proposed interventions, among others, include: installation of external thermal insulation of the building shell, replacement of the existing frames with new high energy efficiency ones, replacement of all the lighting fixtures with new LED technology lighting, installation of high temperature heat pumps to enhance the existing heating systems, upgrade of the electromechanical installation using a BMS system.
The specific intervention, whose inclusion decision is signed by the Commander of the Special Service for Just Developmental Transition, Mr. Pelopidas Kallirisconcerns the study and execution of all the works required for the implementation of an energy upgrade in the Estia building complex and the service building of the University of Western Macedonia in Koila, as well as the buildings where the administrative services, the auditoriums, the library, the workshops and classrooms, in Kastoria and Grevena.
