Several cultural events this weekend (April 27-28) in Ioannina. The events are mainly theatrical and musical. According to what has been announced, the program of events is as follows:
April 27
Live with Leonidas Balafa
On April 27, at 10:00 p.m., Leonidas Balafas will take to the music stage of Polychoros Agora.

Easter concert of the Symphony Orchestra
The Municipality of Ioannina and the Municipal Conservatory of Ioannina in collaboration with the University of Ioannina are presenting the Easter concert of the Symphony Orchestra on Saturday, April 27, at 8:30 p.m., in the “Karolos Papoulias” hall.
Works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Benjamin Britten and Dimitri Shostakovich will be heard under the musical direction of Phoebus Papadopoulos. Soloist: Irini Dova, soprano, Nikos Kypriotis, trumpet, Eleni Koliou, piano.
Free entrance. An Astikos KTEL bus will depart from Roloi (at the starting point of the KTEL) at 19:50, to transport spectators who wish to attend the concert free of charge.
Yama at Studio 203
The Yama duo, who recently released “Butterflies”, are playing live in Ioannina, at Studio 203, on Saturday, April 27, at 21.00. Support by Vangelis Kosinas.

Children’s theater: “Kurdismeni”
The children’s play titled “Strung” by Stella Michailidou is staged by the “Kyklos” Theater (Aravantinou 14) on Saturday, April 27, at 6:00 p.m., and on Sunday, April 28, at 11:30 a.m.
Directed by Petros Christakopoulos. Original music by Yiannis Galitis.

Theatre: “The Slaves”
The Central Stage of DIPETHE Ioannina stages the play “The Slaves” by Jean Genet on April 27, at 9:00 p.m., and on April 28, at 8:00 p.m., at the Camperio Theater. These are the last shows
The show is directed by Yiannis Kontos, who is also one of the actors of the show. Afroditi Athanasiadou and Kika Zachariadou join him on stage. Assistant director Maria Kevrekidou.

The theater group Sfalma x Gondo presents the show “And his name”, directed by Giorgos Angelis, at the theater “Kyklos”, on April 27, 28 and 29, at 21:15.

Performance: “Puss in Shoes and the Wizard Arrogado”
The play “The Puss in Boots and the Magician Arrogando”, based on the classic tale by Giovanni Francesco Straparola, is staged by the artistic union of Ioannina “The Healers” on April 28, at 11:30, in the theater of Stoas Orfea.

The “Underground Currents” in the Multipurpose Agora
On the 28th of April, the Underground Streams will be shown at the Polyhoros Agora. The historic band, which this year marks thirty years since the release of its first album, has a new cover album entitled “30 years in the Underworld”.
