Eight months suspended prison sentence for the “monkey” dentist in Ilioupoli

Imprisonment eight months with three-year suspension imposed by the court on a dental technician posing as the dentist in Ilioupoli.

The defendant was performing illegal dental procedures in Ilioupoli in a place that did not have a license to operate a dental office.

According to the police, last October the accused performed a medical procedure on a patient, which presented complications.

As it was established, the medical procedures to which he had been subjected were incompatible with medical science and a professional association was informed, whose representative together with the patient went to the defendant’s practice again.

In the context of the investigation, it emerged that the defendant was practicing his profession without having the relevant degree, nor the licenses to practice his profession and operate the practice, while complete practice equipment and receipts for the provision of his services were found and confiscated.

“He was widely condemned and found guilty”

“Today in court, an attempt was made by his defense to distort reality. He was universally convicted and found guilty. There is also the death of a grandmother who said so, but they didn’t believe her,” he told Live News Alexis Papadopoulos who reported the accused.

“The most important thing here is that there are other complaints about bodily harm. My client has suffered a lot with his health but he has also been hurt financially. To this day, he is suffering”, commented the victim’s lawyer, Antigone Prili.

“This man was a dental technician, not a dentist. He was practicing medicine without a license to practice. There was no legal marking of the practice and we have to observe when we enter a practice,” he underlined.
