In 25 arrests were made by the police in Patras, after the damage to city ​​buses and the attack on police officers in the city center on Friday night (26.4.24).

In particular, a group of young people came out of the building of his former branch University of Patraswhich is located on Corinthou Street and is under occupation, and they started writing slogans on city buses passing by, at the same time stopping traffic.

The slogans were in favor of the 38-year-old who was recently arrested in Patras and is accused of participating in a terrorist organization.

Immediately after, a MAT platoon and Patras Police officers arrived at the scene, who, according to the police, were attacked by a group of young people.

Then the police arrested 25 peoplewhile in a subsequent investigation in the building of the former branch of the University of Patras, bats, corks, empty bottles, containers with gasoline residues and anti-suffocation masks were found, among other things.

It is noted that the police forces are on standby, due to the gatherings of support for the 25 arrested.
