THE King Charles is getting ready to resume his public duties from next week as his doctors say “very encouraging” her progress in the state of his health after it was announced that he was suffering from cancer.
“His Majesty will soon resume his public activities after a period of treatment and recovery,” Buckingham Palace announced, according to APE-MPE.
The palace has released few details about Charles’ health. It is still unknown what kind of cancer he is suffering from.
A representative of Buckingham said that the king will continue his treatment, but the doctors are satisfied with his progress and this means that Charles he will be able to resume some of his duties. His activities, however, “will be adjusted, if necessary, to minimize the risk” to his health.
Next Tuesday (30/04) the king together with his wife Camila they will visit a cancer center and will meet with doctors and patients.
Visit of the Japanese Emperor
The palace also announced that at end of June 75-year-old Karolos and 76-year-old Camila they will welcome Emperor Naruhito of Japan and his wife Mashako, who will pay an official visit to the United Kingdom. The royal couple attended Queen Elizabeth’s funeral in September 2022 in London.
A spokesman for Buckingham said that the king’s doctors are pleased with his progress and are “optimistic” about his treatment. His public appearances will be decided “on a case-by-case basis,” depending on doctors’ recommendations, he continued.
Since the beginning of February, when he announced that he was suffering from cancer, Mr Charles he had canceled all official, public appearances, but continued to carry out some of his duties, such as weekly meetings with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. He last appeared in public on March 31, when he attended the official Easter service and then greeted the patiently waiting crowd outside St George’s Chapel, Windsor.
