--

In Ioannina, the heart of swimming will beat in July, as the closed swimming pool of PEAKI, in Limnopoula, will host two great events, one of artistic and one of classical swimming.

The 5th Regional Committee of the KOE, having proved that it can undertake the organization of major matches, was re-selected to carry the burden of two important events, one following the other.

On July 8-10, the Panhellenic Artistic Swimming Championship for Children – Girls B’ was scheduled to take place in Ioannina, and on July 11-14 the final phase of the Panhellenic Swimming Championship for Teenagers – Youth and Young Men – Young Women will follow.

It is worth noting that at the end of June, the first phase of the Panhellenic Championship and the Regional Swimming Championship will be preceded, with Ioannina hosting swimmers from Epirus, Aetoloakarnania, Western Macedonia and the northern Ionian islands.

“With the administration of KOE there is a good cooperation and for our part we have given our credentials by hosting important events, most recently the Panhellenic Technical Swimming Championship. With the help of the Region of Epirus and the Municipality of Ioannina, we have already put Ioannina on the map of major events and we will continue on this path. For the two events, more than 1,000 athletes will be in Ioannina in July, which in itself shows the importance for the region as well.” states in his statement the president of the 5th Regional Committee of KOE Ilias Spyriounis.
