In order to study the model of the Finnish army, which our country is thinking of adopting adapted to Greek conditions, a delegation of the GES visited the country.
In an announcement by the GES it is stated that from 23 to 26 April 2024 and in the context of the instructions and directions of the Ministry of National Defense and the General Staff of National Defense, delegation of Army General Staff Officers visited Finland, where they held meetings with Finnish Army Officers.
During the visit, the statement continues, issues related to the Finnish conscription model were discussed, visits were made to military installations and educational activities were attended.
It is recalled that the Minister of National Defense, Nikos Dendias, had earlier visited Finland, where he attended military training. After all, the minister had announced reforms to Greece’s military service, adopting the “Finnish model”.
