Renti: Leaders “burn” the statements of protected witnesses – “They beat those who do not obey orders”

The statements of the protected witnesses, for the leaders of the alleged criminal organization for attacks against fans of opposing teams and also police officers, are considered to be of key importance, at the same time that the first 10 of the 67 hooligans arrested for the murderous attack on the policeman apologize to the investigator of MAT Giorgos Lyggeridis.

The statements given by three fans who have joined a witness protection program are considered pivotal for the Security Police who formed the case file, as they provide crucial information about persons who are alleged to have a leading role, but also about attacks made against fans of opposing teams and police officers, both inside and outside the stadiums, but even fans of the same team they support.

A protected witness statement, given at the end of January 2024, mentions, among other things, the leading figure, the alleged leader, “Kondo”: “I have seen him give orders to the organizer and when some do not obey, he gathers a group of his own people and they trample and beat people who do not obey. Their behaviors show that they are in command at the gate led by “Konto”.

In another part of the statement he refers to an incident that happened outside the stadium: “I also saw that before the match outside the stadium, specifically outside gate 5, “Kokos” (another alleged leader of the criminal organization), used pen flare, which accidentally hit a fan of our team who was accompanying two or three children outside the grocery store. When this sports fan reacted, “Kokos” went and hit him.”

To the investigator the first 10 of the 67 arrested

The investigator is apologized for first 10 of the 67 arrested on the case of the criminal organization in football and the Lyggerides murderwhile during the weekend the apologies of the rest. The 10 arrested are to appear before the 4th investigator for charges they face in relation to the violation of the drug law.

The three face only these charges, while the remaining 7 also face other felony charges and are due to plead again tomorrow for them.

After the apology of all 10, their further criminal treatment related to the violation of the drug law will be decided.

At the weekend, the apologies of the 67 defendants for the crimes they have been arrested are expected to continue.
