Northern Kynouria Municipality Path Network

The presentation of the Trail Network of our Municipality continues with the presentation of the circular route in the Community of Kastanitsa.

The route goes through the interior and perimeter of the Community and is 4 kilometers long and is classified as “easy”.

It is marked with a green triangle on a white background. Its starting point is on the road that leads to the village square and is marked with an informative sign. From there it continues following a South direction inside the settlement and then West following for a while the asphalt road to Sitaina. It then returns to the settlement and through its picturesque streets heads towards the Eastern entrance. The return to the village is via a dirt road to the South.

The route can be characterized as of high aesthetic and historical value and highlights in the best way the beauty of the settlement as the visitor is given the opportunity to admire the special local architecture of the settlement and the unparalleled natural landscape consisting of the rich vegetation of Mount Parnon.

On the information sign there is a QR code that leads to the Wikiloc application, where all routes have been posted to facilitate visitors’ navigation.
