Patras: Gifts and wishes to the “Karamandanio” Children’s Hospital

--

The “Karamandanio” Children’s Hospital was filled with smiles and wishes on Friday morning. Students of DYPA Patras (former OAED) of the Baking and Pastry Department prepared Easter sweets, buns, cookies and Easter eggs to offer to the hospital’s young patients.

The students and the director of EPAS Patras, Nikos Koutrombelis, were welcomed to the hospital by the Commander of the 6th Ministry of Health, Giannis Karvelis, and the Commander of “Karamandanei” Aspasia Rigopoulou.

The students distributed sweets to the children who are hospitalized, giving them a few moments of joy in the difficult times they are going through, while wishing them a speedy recovery so that they can spend the Easter days at home near their loved ones.

Mr. Karvelis expressed his warm thanks both to the management of EPAS Patras and to the students of the department for their social contribution, while he was particularly happy to talk with them about the issues that concern them, as as a former Regional Director of OAED he knows the context of the operation of the service at all levels.

Afterwards, Mr. Karvelis and Mrs. Rigopoulou welcomed the students of the “Renaissance” schools who offered handmade candles to the children, as well as the association of medical visitors who in turn offered gifts for Easter.

As part of his visit to “Karamandanio”, Mr. Karvelis also visited the new space that will host the MRI machine to be informed about the progress of the work.
