Animal cruelty in Thermi – They shot and killed a dog because it was disturbing their animals

A horrific incident took place on Thursday night at Thessaloniki with two men killing a dog they deemed aggressive towards their domestic animals.

According to information, the incident happened in the area of ​​Thermi when a 44 year old manasked one 47-year-old to shoot the dog, unknown owner, telling him that he was disturbing his animals. The latter armed the hunting carbine and shot the unfortunate animal, fatally injuring it.

The police were allegedly informed by residents of the settlement saying that they heard gunshots and the officers who arrived at the scene found out exactly what had happened.

The two men were arrested and a case file was filed against them for violation of the Animal and Weapons Laws, the prescribed fine was imposed and they will be taken to the public prosecutor today.
