A fierce confrontation has broken out between the two former LAOS MPs, as Adonis Georgiadis has clashed with Kyriakos Velopoulos in recent days, over… matters of faith.
Specifically, in an interview with Action24 and in the aftermath of Mitsotakis’ meeting with Archbishop Hieronymos, the Minister of Health severely criticized the president of the Hellenic Solution, stating that “Mr. Velopoulos has begun to suffer the damage that one suffers when he rises too quickly. His ratings went up a bit and he showed the real hypocrisy and arrogance that he hides inside.”
Mr. Georgiadis added that “he came to Parliament and told us this impermissible thing about whether he himself allows us to go to the holy temples during Holy Week. Mr. Kyriakos Velopoulos considers himself both Archbishop and Metropolitan and regulates who can enter an Orthodox church. He is a man who sells Christianity for votes, but he has nothing to do with Christianity.”
